Giselle is a ballet tragedy in two acts by Adolphe Adam and Jose Carlos Martineza and one of the most significant ballet tragedies. Giselle is considered by many to be the queen of romantic ballet; she is a completely unusual phenomenon within the phenomenon of classical ballet. She deserves such an attribution for many aspects of her multifaceted complex structure, from the idea of her charismatic authors to the dramaturgy of two completely different acts. This famous tragedy will be staged by the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre Zagreb, which will perform another classical masterpiece in a new way, directed by Jose Carlos Martinez.
