The long history of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival is strongly marked by the staging of Vojnović's plays. Through the relationship to Vojnović, the relationship to history, the potential of creative and contemporary expression towards heritage is examined, which is why Ivo Vojnović's Equinox is for the second year in a row the title that will be performed by the Festival Drama Ensemble at Posat Slipway, directed by Krešimir Dolenčić. Establishing a balance between the melodramatic and the crude, sentimental and cynical, Vojnović's Equinox skillfully connects the past of individuals with the present of the collective, their memories with premonitions of the future.
